Strawberry Picking

Arden had an absolute blast Strawberry picking. I wanted to take her last year, but didn't get to. We went last Thursday and it was a perfect morning. When we arrived, there was hardly anyone there, it was overcast and the weather was perfect. I told Arden to only pick pretty red ones and she sure did a good job. She had to take a bite of every. single. one. that she picked and if it was especially good, she took two bites and put them in her box. After each one, she said, "mmmm dat's good!"

After the girls filled their boxes, they did the maze which Arden wanted to do over. and over. and over.

Then we checked out the chickens and the water pump.

I have been trying to get Arden to put her face in these things at various places forever and she never would. I guess she just needed some confidence from Issa. We couldn't get her to leave it; she thought it was so funny.
We had a blast and I really want to go back, but I'm not sure we will make it back this year.

Strawberries Anyone?

We came home and ate strawberries (Arden was so worried about them riding in the back of the car where she couldn't keep an eye on them) and made Freezer jam. Afterwards, Clarisa and Arden went out and had a few Easter egg hunts (they threw the eggs in the grass and Arden collected them =) ) That excitement ended when Arden fell on the walkway and scraped her knee and landed on her cheek.

It was nice having Clarisa with us for a few days during her spring break so I could get a lot done....like a lot of putting my feet up and a lot less picking Arden up. Actually she didn't even want me to pick her up. Any time we were getting out of the car...."No Mommy! Issa get me out!" Fine with me!
