On September 18th, we woke up really early, packed the car and headed to Orlando. Our original plan was to go in October, but things changed and we went earlier! We bought a portable DVD player so that Arden could be entertained throughout the car ride. That lasted about 3 hours, then she was done. The thing is Arden doesn't stay still very long, even watching TV, she likes to move around. It didn't help that she was constipated either. She kept tugging at her buckle and trying to push the button. It was pitiful. we stopped one time for gas, bathroom and food and let Arden run around. It ended up taking about an hour. We loaded back up thinking Arden would a take a nap and wake up when we were there, but no such luck.
We got to Derek's uncle's house around 4 and Arden was so excited to see Nonni and Grandpa (They flew in the day before). She was running around like crazy in the yard, showing off. She might have been delirious.
We just relaxed the rest of the night and the next day. On Monday, we went to the Magic Kingdom.
Donald was the first character she met.
She was so excited and loved rubbing his beak, then he poked her and she laughed and poked him back and forth.

Jiminy from one of the parades
This picture does not do the scene justice.
First-Arden had no clue who Mickey and Minnie were before this trip. No TV show, movies, books, nothing. I think she has that look on her face due to the line of people in front of her waiting on their turn and the camera man. Anyway so she gets her picture taken with them and and I go to take her hand to leave. She pushed me away and sinks into Minnie's lap. Well, Minnie does not help the situation and starts hugging and kissing her. Arden turns around and examines Minnie, touches her nose and is just completely fascinated. I go to pick her up and she yells at me ("no" is not in her vocabulary- so she just kind of 'UGHNNNNN UGGHHHHNN') and pushes me away and Minnie wraps her arms around and hugs and kisses her again. Luckily the people in line thought it was cute, but the camera man started getting annoyed. Finally, Minnie held her hand, stood up and walked her to the door. Arden was beaming, thinking Minnie was going home with her. When Minnie walked back in, I thought Arden might have a meltdown, but she didn't and handled it very well!
After that adventure, we went to the ship and Arden had a blast playing in the water...
UNTIL....
She stood over this hole at just the perfect angle.....
And it got her right in the face (she hates water in her eyes) so I knew this was coming:

Then Grandpa saved the day and dried her face with his shirt!
And she was ready for more!
Another parade
Derek, Arden, Nonni and Granpa in front of the castle watching a show. 90% of the time when Arden laughs, she'll cover her mouth. So cute.

Meeting Pluto- she loved touching his whiskers.
They are all decorated for Halloween!
