Discovery Place

At the beginning of August, we went to Discovery Place (free with our awesome new pass mentioned before) Rebecca and Trey and their neighbor. Arden had an absolute blast.
At the entrance, they have a 'toddler' room (I think it's geared toward 5 and under). It has a huge water table she enjoyed-

Dumping water on the floor:

That room also has ride on toys, music things, a big lite-brite wall, and a space with tables, chairs, bean bags and books. This section and the water table were her favs. She loves books and seats!

We actually did not get to see the whole place, but this was Arden's favorite:

(when she first walked in; trying to figure out what's going on)

This is a dark 'room' (actually a large circle in the middle of a room with flap things hanging down to separate it) and it has colored motion sensors on the ground and when you walk or wave your hand over them, they make noise.

OK, I found a better definition of it. 'Sound Space Instead of a traditional musical instrument that relies on small movements to generate and manipulate sounds, Sound Space incorporates an Optimusic sensor array. You break light beams to activate samples translating your body movements into “music”. The space and movement of your body becomes related to a sound experience.' She loved running around and dancing in there.

Here she is trying out her new funky fresh dance moves. And I haven't seen her dance like this since:

It was very funny and entertaining. She was trying to dance fast to keep up with the noise fluctuations.

This cute frog was hanging out in the rain forest area.

Throwing paper into the Air Tubes:

We will be going back as much as possible, and if anyone wants to go too, let us know!
