This child has one heck of a temper, but he's oh so cute, brilliant, and I love when he gives kisses and winks. But that temper.....
He says a lot. He repeats pretty much everything we say. Last month, when my mom was visiting, we kept asking him to say words ("Can you say 'Arden'?") and he was repeating every word we threw at him. Then we asked him to say a big word-I can't remember what it was- something like Madagascar. So we said, "Can you say Madagascar?" and he just said "yes." It was cute. Other than repeating everything we tell him to, he says these on a daily basis:
Eat
Mow (more)
Peas (please)
Tain to (thank you)
Auden (Arden)
Mama
Dada
Boppa (boppy)

I Okay...and I'm sure I forgot a few
He's in that wonderful phase where he loves to help. If he spills something, I probably don't see it half the time because he is so quick to grab a towel and clean it up.
He loves to dance, elmo, Daniel Tiger, trucks, planes, construction stuff, the baby app that farts and burps, hats, shoes (he likes to pick his own for the day and gets mad if I pick the wrong ones), Arden's iPad (it's always a fight)
When he gets in trouble, he just laughs. When he doesn't get his way, he yells, screams, and hits stuff. We were leaving my aunts house on Thanksgiving and he spotted his cousins scooter in the garage so he pulled it out and started riding. He had fun for about 5 minutes and then got distracted and started walking away. Then Arden got on it and he started yelling and went up to the nearest car and slapped it. He got the scooter back, but we had to leave. Derek pulled him off of it kicking and screaming and he cried the whole way home. He is the exact opposite of Arden. I've never had meltdowns and fits with Arden in public. If I tell her she can't have something, she just says, "well maybe next time" or "maybe for my birthday."
18 Month Stats:
Height: 35 inches (100%)
Weight: 27lb 8oz (86.93%-Their DR office is all digital now, so they give a print out of the stats and the exact percentile)
Head: 46.5cm (27.70%)
I found this kind of funny and Derek did not. After discussing with him, we have concluded that Arden has Derek's head (a little large) and Easton has mine-I never really thought I had a small head, but Derek informed me that I do. And Easton has his Dad's body-long torso, short legs....I mean the boy is 100% for height, but can wear 12 month pants as long as they have a stretchy waist. Most 18 month pants are a little long on him but fit in the waist.
Interview with Easton:
He likes to play doctor and pull Arden's hair. Loves being outside. Climbs on everything and therefore falls a lot.
About a month ago he fell and tore his frenum. With that, there was TONS of blood. If I weren't a hygienist/in the the dental field, I would've rushed him to the ER. Luckily I knew there was nothing to worry about. There just happens to be a lot of blood when your frenum rips and it's fairly common with little ones. Probably more so with boys. During another fall five or six months ago, he hit his mouth causing front tooth #e to be intruded. It moved back down and isn't very noticeable, but I sure see it.
The name 'Candy Monster' fits him well:
....he's so over it

He's a handfull......must be those Brantley genes kicking-in again: I know that can't be a Grimes trait.
Haha! Must be...although I'm still trying to figure out what those Grimes genes could possibly be ;)
